Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive neurological disorder that primarily affects memory, thinking, and behavior. It is the most common form of dementia, often starting with mild memory loss and gradually impacting daily activities and independent living. Symptoms can include confusion, difficulty with language, changes in mood, and impaired judgment. While there is currently no cure, early detection and supportive care can significantly improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Why Support is Needed

Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s can be challenging, both physically and emotionally. Patients often require assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, eating, taking medication, and managing appointments. They may also experience emotional distress, including anxiety, frustration, or depression. Without proper support, these challenges can place significant stress on family members and caregivers.
